Delete your data
If you have an account
Sign in, go to your Account page, and use "Delete account" at the bottom. This immediately removes your live profile, source code, streak, submission history, and leaderboard entries. If a Paddle subscription is active, Open Bracket first confirms immediate cancellation so it cannot renew after the account disappears. Deletion cannot be undone.
If you played as a guest
Your editable code remains in your browser's storage and clears automatically after seven days. When you ask the server to verify a sample-test pass, the code is processed temporarily by Judge0 but is not retained as a guest submission. If you'd like your guest attempt record removed from our side sooner, email playopenbracket@gmail.com with roughly when you played - there's no account for you to sign into, so I'll need enough detail to find the right record.
Encrypted backups
Production keeps the 30 most recent encrypted daily database backups. Deleted data may remain inside an inaccessible backup copy for up to about 30 days before that copy expires automatically. Backups are restored only into an isolated environment, where account-deleted rows are removed before any restored data can be promoted to live use. A backup is never copied directly over the live database.
What deletion doesn't remove
Aggregate, non-identifying product measurements (for example, "a challenge was started on this day") are kept without your account attached, so I can still tell whether the daily challenge is working as a whole - deleting your account removes the link to you, not the anonymous count.
